Product story
Train Street Coffee is a place we often gathered on weekends, a familiar corner of Hanoi filled with everyday moments and shared memories. It’s also a must-visit destination for travelers experiencing the city for the first time, where life unfolds just inches from the railway tracks. Because of its unique atmosphere and the memories tied to it—both ours and those of countless visitors—we felt it deserved to be captured in miniature. The Hanoi Train Street Coffee model was designed over three months, carefully recreating the spirit of this iconic street where coffee, conversation, and passing trains come together.

Book Nook Ha Noi Train Coffee Street DIY kit - Viet Nam DIY kit - BN014
Hanoi Train Street – A Living Slice of Vietnam
This Book Nook captures the unmistakable rhythm of Hanoi’s Train Street, where everyday life unfolds just inches from the railway tracks. The model is richly detailed, using carefully chosen materials to create a sense of realism—from small flower pots lining the balconies to gravel stones scattered along the tracks. Each element is designed to feel lived-in, familiar, and true to the street itself.
At the back of the scene, a cleverly placed mirror extends the view, adding depth and the illusion of a longer street beyond what the eye first sees. Every detail works together to tell a quiet story of Hanoi’s daily life—coffee brewing, conversations lingering, and the steady passage of time along the tracks.

Book Nook Can Be More Than One Thing
A Thoughtful, One-of-a-Kind Gift
A Book Nook makes a meaningful gift for someone you care about. You can personalize it with small decorations, handwritten notes, photos, or symbols that matter to you — turning a beautiful model into a truly personal keepsake.
A Relaxing, Hands-On Experience
Build at your own pace and enjoy the quiet satisfaction of assembling each piece. With hundreds of details, a Book Nook can easily fill an evening or a weekend, helping you unwind, focus, and enjoy the process as much as the final result.
A Beautiful Piece to Show Off
Whether it’s your first Book Nook or one of many, it looks great on a desk, bookshelf, or TV cabinet. Fair warning though — once you start, you’ll probably want a dedicated shelf just for them. They really are that good.
This kit is one of the staples of this company. It features a passenger and freight train riding through the middle of a shopping area, only inches away from people eating and/or shopping at the shops adjacent to the tracks. I made some modifications to this kit to enhance it... the trio of headlights to the train, an authentic animated railroad crossing signal with lights, two touch switches to control the building lights and train separately, and a sound module to play the actual sound of the Hanoi trains passing through the area, and finally, replace the battery pack with USB power.
Everyone assumes it cost way more than it did.
Ce petit “click” quand les pièces s’emboîtent bien… ultra satisfaisant.

One LED wire was damaged. I was annoyed at first, but support handled it fast and sent replacement parts free. Problem solved.
Saw this all over social media and assumed influencer nonsense. Nope. Actually awesome.
The storytelling/detail here feels way stronger. It feels less like assembling parts and more like building a tiny world.
Tea, music, this kit. Peak adult happiness honestly.
Avec la lumière allumée c’est incroyable. Ça donne vraiment une ambiance chaleureuse sur une étagère.
Bought for myself. My teenage daughter claimed it immediately. Guess I’m ordering another one.
The wood quality feels much better than other DIY kits I’ve tried. Less flimsy, cleaner cuts, better fit.
